TASC District 3 J.J. Colburn Summer Workshop Scholarship

 

Each year, TASC District 3 will recognize a specific freshmen, sophomore, or Junior from a current member School. The award winner must attend a TASC sponsored workshop during the following summer.

Submissions will be judged by a committee chaired by the D3 Asst. Executive Secretary. Up to 4 students will be selected. Limit two applications per school. All applications must be submitted by the advisor by January 20th each year.​

TASC District 3 Senior Scholarship

​

In recognition of the contributions of many students to the Student Council programs, the TASC District III will recognize at least five outstanding graduating seniors with college scholarships.  The amount of each scholarship will be $800.  Schools may nominate a maximum of three applicants.

TASC District 3 Advisor Scholarship

TASC District III will award up to two (2) TASC State Advisor’s Workshop Scholarships up to $250 each, and three (3) TASC District III Advisor’s Workshop Scholarships, (who may bring 2 students each). They will be awarded to a Student Council Sponsor who is in financial need or new to the organization in order to help those sponsor(s) to further their professional development in student government and/or student council.

TASC District 3 Grant and Sponsorship Form

​

Schools in financial need, seeking new membership and wishing to join the Texas Association of Student Councils for the 2026-2027 school year, or re-joining from being lapsed, can now apply for a D3 Grant or D3 Sponsorship.  In order to be eligible to receive financial support through the District 3 Grant or District 3 School Sponsorship, the current advisor or campus principal must complete the financial needs application below.  Your school will be required to upload evidence of your current/existing council at the end of the application.  

Upon being selected for the D3 grant or D3 sponsorship, your school will be expected to...

1. Register to attend at least one District 3 conference (Fall, Spring) or D3 Overnighter - during the 2026-2027 school year

2. Complete and submit at least one TASC State Report Form at the District 3 Spring Conference.

TASC District 3 Financial Support Opportunities:

• D3 Grant - District 3 will award selected schools with a $250 grant for the 2026-2027 school year intended to cover the cost of TASC Membership ($110) with the remaining funds to use toward registration at the District 3 Fall Conference, Overnighter Conference, or Spring Conference.

• D3 Sponsorship - A current D3 member school will cover the cost of TASC Membership ($85) for the 2026-2027 school year.
