Beyond D3

Looking for additional ways to get involved as a student council?  Here are events available to you outside of D3.

​

Southern Association of Student Councils (sascschools.weebly.com)

SASC is a an organization comprised of 15 Southeastern states.  There are contest opportunities, scholarships, and an annual conference.  The 2023 conference is being held October 14-16 in Chapin, SC.  Check out their website for information.  Have more questions on the benefits of attending?  Contact CentralBoswell, or Legacy High School.  Each have attended the last few years and can provide input.

TASC Events (tasconline.org)

Middle Level Conference

This is a wonderful opportunity for your students to support our middle level schools.  High Schools are asked to apply to present at the middle level conference typically held the 2nd weekend in November.  Check the TASC website for the deadline to applyl.

Advanced Workshops

Lakeview is in January (27-29) and Mo Ranch is in February (9-11) - and they are wonderful opportunities for leadership development as well as rejuvenation for the remainder of your year.

Annual State Conference

A great opportunity to celebrate the successes of your year and continue your leadership development.  Typically held in April at the Irving Convention Center.

Summer Leadership Workshop

One of the BEST opportunities to get your students energized for the year, connected with students across the state, and develop leadership skills.

National Association of Student Councils (www.natstuco.org)

Membership in NASC provides you with with a project database, potential National recognition, and an opportunity to attend the annual NASC conference in June.

​

Region 6 VISION Conference (masc1.org/r6vision)

"The Region 6 VISION (Value, Inspire, Share, Insight, Opportunity, Network) Conference is open to any student, advisor and principal in the United States, Puerto Rico and around the world. The purpose of the conference is to meet and network with other leaders from across the U.S. and around the world, obtain new ideas from informative speakers and workshops and ascertain innovative ideas about service learning."
