Looking for additional ways to get involved as a student council?  Here are events available to you outside of D3.

TASC Events (tasconline.org)

Middle Level Conference

This is a wonderful opportunity for your students to support our middle level schools.  High Schools are asked to apply to present at the middle level conference which is on November 17-18.  Check the TASC website for the deadline to apply.

Advanced Workshops

Lakeview is in January (24-26) and Mo Ranch is in February (6-8) - and they are wonderful opportunities for leadership development as well as rejuvenation for the remainder of your year.

​

Annual State Conference

A great opportunity to celebrate the successes of your year and continue your leadership development.  Typically held in April at the Irving Convention Center.

​

Summer Leadership Workshop

One of the BEST opportunities to get your students energized for the year, connected with students across the state, and develop leadership skills.

Regional and National Events 

Southern Association of Student Councils (sascschools.weebly.com)

SASC is a an organization comprised of 15 Southeastern states.  There are contest opportunities, scholarships, and an annual conference.  The 2025 conference is being held October 11-13, 2025 in Greenville, SC.  Check out their website for information.  Have more questions on the benefits of attending?  Contact Central or Boswell High School.  Each have attended the last few years and can provide input.

National Association of Student Councils (www.natstuco.org)

Membership in NASC provides you with with a project database, potential National recognition, and an opportunity to attend the annual NASC conference in June.

Region 6 VISION Conference (stucovisionconference.org)

"The Region 6 VISION (Value, Inspire, Share, Insight, Opportunity, Network) Conference is open to any student, advisor and principal in the United States, Puerto Rico and around the world. The purpose of the conference is to meet and network with other leaders from across the U.S. and around the world, obtain new ideas from informative speakers and workshops and ascertain innovative ideas about service learning."

National Association for Student Activities (www.na4sa.org)

NA4SA, National Association for Student Activities, brings together Advocates, Advisors, Administrators, and Allies of ALL student activities who support and encourage student involvement in and out of the classroom and specifically serve leadership education teachers, regional/state activity program planners, and others interested in leadership training and activity planning. Each December, the annual National Conference on Student Activities (NCSA) features top notch speakers and presenters, and also provides a plethora of opportunities to share great ideas while networking with a vibrant professional community dedicated to student leadership and activities. Each August, NA4SA also sponsors an annual Summer Workshop which features valuable Advisor training and networking in an easily accessible virtual setting.
